Departing Washington this morning, the President briefly tours the Cree, Inc's manufacturing facility in Durham North Carolina, before meeting with his Jobs and Competitiveness Council. WRAL.com reports that the Council will discuss 4 major points- access to capital
- mentoring entrepreneurs
- the need for highly educated immigrants to stay in the US after we've educated them, and
- providing more STEM education.
Politico labels today's traveling event: Obama's swing-state tour because North Carolina is both a swing state and the state where the Democratic Party's 2012 convention will be held.
After the jobs creation for immigrant functions, the President will fly off to Florida to attend three Miami fundraisers held to boost his re-election coffers.
