The Government shutdown ended 2 weeks ago and everyone is back to work

In the past 14 days, President Obama received a daily briefing on each of the 10 weekdays. He also met with his senior advisers, Jack Lew, and John Kerry twice; and he met with Secretary of Defense Hagel once.

Also on his agenda was having lunch with VP Biden three times. But, we know everything is back to normal when the President, Mrs. Obama, and the Vice President all resume attending Democratic National Committee events and fundraisers again.

Yes, Mr. Obama knows where his bread is buttered: both from the working American taxpayers who have to pay for his political activities, and from his democratic supporters looking for political favors.

• President Obama receives a daily briefing at 10:15 AM before meeting with his senior advisors at 11 AM. Next, he has a brief 11:45 AM meeting with CEO's regarding Cybersecurity. Then, he has a 12:30 lunch with VP Biden. In the afternoon, he will speak at a memorial services for Tom Foley at 3 PM. Lastly, he will meet with Secretary of Defense Hagel at 4:45 PM.

• President Obama received a 10 AM daily briefing. At noon, he delivered remarks at the installation of FBI Director James Comey. Lastly, he met with Secretary of State Kerry at 3:45 PM. He also spoke to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the phone.

Friday, October 25, 2013

• President Obama received a 10:45 AM daily briefing. Then, at 1:20 PM, he left the White House and flew to New York City. Once there, he visited and spoke at a P-TECH high school classroom at 3:25 PM. Then he was off to 2 Democratic fundraisers, one at 7 PM, and the second at 8:10 PM. He returned to the White House around 11  PM.
• Michelle Obama greeted the USO Volunteer of the year and other honorees along with Jill Biden at 1:45 AM.  Shortly after (2:15 PM), she spoke at the (Democratic) Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) National Issues Conference.
• VP Biden met with Italian Senate President Pietro Grasso at 10 AM. In the evening (6:45 PM), he and his wife attended and spoke at the Annual Issues Conference of the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum at the Newseum.

• President Obama received a daily briefing at 9:45 AM. This was followed by a 10:35 AM immigration reform speech. In the afternoon, he participated in the DNC's Women's Leadership Forum (4:50 PM). Additionally, he met with Rahm Emanuel in the Oval Office.

• President Obama received a daily briefing at 10:45 AM. That was followed by a 12:30 lunch with VP Biden. Next, he held a bilateral meeting with Pakistani PM Sharif (2:10 PM). Lastly, he met with Secretary of Treasury Jack Lew.

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

• President Obama received a daily briefing at 10:15 AM. Next, he had lunch with VP Biden at 12:30. In the afternoon, he met with Secretaries Lew and Kerry (2:25 PM and 3:05 PM respectively). Lastly, he delivered a statement at 8:25 PM.

The Government Shuts Down on same day the Affordable Health Care Act becomes the law

The week leading to the the October 1st Government Shutdown and the kickoff of the Obamacare exchange implementation was quite busy for President Obama. During this time, he: received 4 daily briefings; met with Prime Ministers Netanyahu and Singh, Secretary of Treasury Jack Lew, his speech writing Director; and held a Cabinet meeting.

While the President refused to work with Congress to negotiate an American budget (one of his elected duties), Mr. Obama instead chose to make a historic phone call to the President of Iran, offering to work together with him. Thus, it seems the President was telling American that he is more interested in Iran than he is in our own country.

Hoping to make sure the October 1 implementation of Obamacare is a success,  Mr. Obama called several local officials and traveled to Maryland to delivered a speech selling this product.

An Executive week would not be complete if the President did not participate in a Democratic fundraising event. So, last Thursday, the pockets were greased when Mr. Obama attended a local DNC event. This came one day after VP Biden flew to New York City to attend a different DNC fundraising event there.

In the afternoon, he participated in ca call with mayors, county officials, and state legislators on the Affordable Care Act; and also met with his Speechwriting Director, Cody Keenan. Afterward, he met with Secretary Lew at 4:30 PM.
• VP Biden - attended a DNC fundraising event in New York City. He also met with President Mujica of Uruguay, VP Al-Khuzaie of Iraq. Last, he delivered remarks at the Clinton Global Citizen Awards.
