Mr. Obama evades scandals by attending fundraisers, meeting foreign Presidents, hosting a movie screenings and football team, and golfing (of course)

President Obama spent around 17 hours this week flying to North Carolina and various cities in California.  In addition, he visited a Middle School, attended 3 fundraising events, had lunch with the Vice President, welcomed the Baltimore Ravens to the White House, hosted a private movie screening at the White House, and played a round of golf.

On the official side, he: met with the Presidents of Peru and China; made 2 personnel announcements; met once with Secretaries Lew and Hagel, and his senior advisers; delivered two personnel announcements and received 3 daily briefings. All together, these activities accounted for 16 hours of his time.

Obviously missing from his agenda is any time devoted to the discussion of the current scandals, or the planning and updates of the IRS and NSA spying on American citizens.

In addition to Mr. Obama's campaign fundraising efforts, both Vice President Biden and Michelle Obama attended two other fundraisers as well.

After SOTU, Obama golfs in Florida while family skis in Colorado

After delivering the State of the Union Address last Tuesday evening, President Obama took to the skies again. Just like the old campaign days, Mr. Obama visited North Carolina, Georgia, and Illinois, working the crowds. His intent was to push his aggressive tax and spend agenda.

Realizing that he needed a little "governmental face time", Mr. Obama found time on two of the past 7 days to receive a daily briefing.

But, the long President's Day weekend was near. So, the Obama family split in two separate directions. Mr. Obama flew to Florida to spend 3 days in the sun, receiving golfing lessons and playing several rounds of golf. Mrs. Obama, however, took the girls and her friends to Aspen Colorado for a long weekend of skiing. Additionally, the Biden's spent the weekend skiing in Aspen as well!

While no one can begrudge the First Family of taking vacations, it just seems rather ironic that the President continues to "bash the rich", and then he rushes off with his "rich" friends and "donors" for extravagantly expensive vacations. Not only do they just get away, but they take their friends as well - and we, the taxpayers, pay for it all (one way or another).

Four dead Americans are only bumps on the campaign trail

Two weeks after the Benghazi massacre, the only visible change to President Obama's weekly campaign schedule is the inclusion of 4 daily briefings.  Yet, in the past 7 days, the Obama campaign team attended 14 different campaign/fundraising events. However, the President was obligated to meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton once in order to make sure that they continue to apologize to the Muslim world and pretend that a the murders of our citizens were carried out in response to an offensive video.

Obama's and Clinton's behavior are indicative to children trying to appease a schoolyard bully.

Besides apologizing and campaigning, Mr. Obama relaxed in the friendly environment of The View. He did speak at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, but could not find the time to meet with other dignitaries.

The economy is still in shambles and unemployment continues to soar. Yet the President has ignored these issues.

Mr. Obama described the deaths of our Ambassador and security personnel as merely bumps on the road. And, he brushed off the concerns of Israel as only noise, an unwanted distraction.

One must ask: Why would any right minded American re-elect this politician who has boldly ignored his sworn obligation to serve and protect this country but has favored the revolting terrorists in the North African and Arab regions instead?

Below is a summary of President Obama's schedule during the week of Wednesday September 19 through Tuesday September 25 2012.

One DNC Convention and Two Hugs, How Cozy!

After sitting in on 1 obligatory daily briefing, President Obama was free to spend the week campaigning. First, however, he had to practice the acceptance speech that he would give at the Democratic National Convention.  Once that speech was given, the Obama's and Biden's took to the skies on our Air Force planes and hit the swing Sates.  Together, they left Charlotte NC and the four flew to New Hampshire. After attending a campaign event there, they boarded the plane again and flew to Iowa where they made another grand campaign appearance at the University of Iowa.

But, one day was enough. So at the end of Friday, Mr. Obama flew to Florida and spent 2 days attending 4 campaign events in that State. Nothing has been written about Michelle Obama or Jill Biden, so we can only assume that they perhaps flew back to Washington. From different sources, we know that Vice President flew to Columbus Ohio and traveled through that State and mingled with the voters.

Two of the memorial pictures of Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden campaigning over the weekend are shown at right.  From the looks of it, they are really enjoying themselves. After all, who wouldn't want to share hugs with our 2 distinguished leaders?

Mr. Obama's official schedule during the past week comprised of 4 daily briefings, and a 15 minute meeting with Senior Advisers. The photograph below shows Mr. Obama attending the meeting on Monday. While he is seldom working, the White House Blog finds it necessary to post such photographs in order to "make it look like the President is working". Unfortunately, his official schedule says otherwise.

Alabama, Air Force, Fallon, and Warriors consume Obama's weekly schedule

Somewhere along the way, someone taught President Obama the saying:

All work and no play
makes Jack a dull boy!

Not wanting to be dull, Mr. Obama has taken this to heart and avoids much work.

A week has 7 days each containing 24 hours; and a common laborer must work about 40 hours a week.

By comparison, the President works about half of this. Using his last week's schedule as an indicator of his working effort, we find the President spends:
  • 7 hours in meetings
  • 3 hours greeting sports teams and other guests
  • 5 hours touring and speaking
  • 3 hours at campaign events, and
  • 2 hours taping television events and a weekly speech.
However, travel is often required, and last week, he was in a plane, helicopter, or limousine around 10 additional hours.

During the week, he met with his senior advisers 3 times, had 3 daily briefings, and met with Mrs. Clinton.

He welcomed 2 sports teams, wounded warriors, and teacher finalists to the White House. Obama visited the Holocaust Museum, and 2 community colleges. In between all this, he managed to sign a Proclamation naming Fort Ord a National Monument, and taped an interview with Jimmy Fallon.

And, Mr. Obama attended 3 campaign events.  By comparison, VP Biden also attended 3 campaign events, and Michell Obama attended 2.

The following summarizes the public schedule of the President, Mrs. Obama, and Vice President Biden in the week from Wednesday April 18 through Tuesday April 24, 2012.

Today, Tuesday, April 24, 2012
  • President Obama honors the 2012 National Teacher of Year finalists at White House. Then, he travels to Chapel Hill NC to speak at UNC about student loans. High cost of fuel doesn't stop Obama from jetting to NCAA tournament at taxpayer expense

In this past week, President Obama's public schedule has been very relaxing. He held 4 daily briefings and met with Senior Advisers twice. He made an announcement about China and expressed sympathy for the Afghan civilians.  He toured 2 manufacturing facilities, sat for a series of TV interviews, and told the American public that he couldn't do anything that would affect the high gasoline prices we are forced to pay.

Perhaps the most important duties he performed related to his own personal agenda. Mr. Obama met with representatives of the National League of Cities, a non-profit advocacy group whose purpose is to influence federal policy; and he had lunch with Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York. He only attended two fundraisers but treated winners of his democratic fundraising contest to dinner.

Saving the best for last, he now flying off  to Dayton Ohio to watch a first round NCAA Basketball tournament game.

Michelle Obama appeased the Arab and Muslim communities by attending the 2012 International Women of Courage Awards ceremony before taking to the skies and speaking at a New Hampshire Community College and a Boston Fundraiser. Today, she's hosting her own mini-Olympics.

Vice President Biden's schedule has been secretive. They stopped posting his schedule on White House website for the past 2 weeks, so we only know about his steak and truffle dinner last night.

Here is a summary of their major weekly activities for the week of March 7 through March 13, 2012.

  • Mrs. Obama spoke at Penacook Community College in NH regarding Let's Move. Afterwards, she jetted off to a campaign event in Boston MA.

Mr. & Mrs. Obama attend 10 campaign events, but Biden only had 1

Last week's campaign fundraising total was 11 events.  Both the President and Mrs. Obama tied with 5 campaign events each, while VP Biden trailed with only one.

For real USA country business, Mr. Obama attended 4 daily briefings, and met once with his senior advisors, Geithner, Panetta, and Clinton.  He also completed 2 sessions with Mr. Netanyahu.

Interestingly enough, the President attended more campaign events than attending daily briefings.

Obama's 4 weekly fundraisers beat Biden and Michelle who only held 2 each

After hosting a Blues Concert at the White House last Tuesday night, the President spent the majority of his time making public appearances. Jetting across the eastern corners of the United States for campaign purposes, Mr. Obama covered the Florida region while the Vice President blitzed New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and North Carolina.  Michelle Obama's role was to push the campaign in Ohio. These one day junkets not only raised cash, but the VP pledged another $500 million to community colleges contingent on his reelection.

By Friday, the President was back in DC, conferring with and entertaining Democratic Governors. During those 7 days, he did manage to spend 2 one-half hour sessions being briefed, and meeting with his senior advisers. Additionally, he found time to hold meetings with Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt of Denmark, Mr. Geithner, and Mr. Panetta.

Below is a summary of the activities of the President, Vice President, and their spouses during the past week.

Here is a CNN video of Mrs. Obama's arrival in Cincinnati.

And, just for fun, here is a video of the Education Secretary Arne Duncan who played in an NBA Charity game last week. This must have really broken President Obama's heart!

Democrats Nelson, Reid, Tester voted with Republicans to defeat Jobs Act

Perhaps its time to ask why 3 of Obama's favorite Democrat Senators voted against his Jobs Act?

While Obama continues his 2nd day of bashing Republicans on his "American Jobs Bus Tour", he will make two appearances in Jamestown NC community colleges and one in an Emporia VA high school.

The Vice President is also getting into the act. He traveled to York PA and spoke to the elementary school children there. Then he flies ot Philadelphia to participate in a round table discussion, and finally make a speech about the Jobs Act.

Since the two leaders of our country our so busy traveling and stating that the Republicans blocked this much needed bill, we decided to examine the actual voting record on this act. It was Senate legislation S. 1660 (not Congress) and titled "American Jobs Act of 2011". (You can see the voting results here).

Of the 100 voting Senators, 50 voted YEA, 49 NAY, and 1 not voting.

Voting YEA were 49 Democrats and 1 Independent.

Voting NAY were 46 Republicans and 3 Democrats (Nelson-NE, Reid-NV, and Tester-MT)

So from this, we can see that it was not only Republicans that voted against Obama's Job Bill. Perhaps he should stay in Washington and work with Senate members on both sides of the aisle so that the leaders in his own Democratic party will support his proposals.

Now its time for baseball. The World Series begins tomorrow and Michelle and Dr. Jill will be there in full colors. Are you paying for their tickets?

Non-Michigan made bus tour to North Carolina and beyond

After last Tuesday's cash raising event in Orlando FL, the President remained in DC for the next couple of days and used the time to help his wife pick out a beautiful dress for the Korea State Dinner.

Picking up the fundraising slack, VP Biden flew to Flint MI on Wednesday and visited the Flint Fire Department while Obama lured Latino voters at the White House. Next, Biden toured a school in Grand Rapids MI, before finally attending the real purpose of the trip: a campaign event in Grand Rapids.

To show off how successful government takeovers can be, Mr. Obama escorted South Korean President Lee Myyung-bak on a tour of a General Motors Orion Assembly plant in Detroit MI last Friday.

Now today, Obama begins a 3-day bus campaign tour in southern swing states. First, he flies to Asheville NC and to delivers remarks. Then, on the bus and off to Millers Creek NC to speak at a high school (too bad the bus wasn't manufactured in the United States).

Even though the Jobs Act was defeated by the Senate, the Obama re-election committee continues to drain the U.S. taxpayer by insisting the bus trip is about jobs and not votes.

Obama's Definition of Jobs: Tennis, Food Kitchen, Concert, and Campaigning

After presenting his Jobs Act dream speech last Thursday night on national TV, the President is beginning to rapidly spend the $447 billion new jobs package he has proposed.

Friday, he visited  the University of Richmond in Virginia.

Tomorrow, on Tuesday, He flies to Columbus Ohio to talk to a high school about the money in the bill for education.

Wednesday, he's off to North Carolina and will visit the Raleigh-Durham area.

And, while Mr. O was campaigning for jobs, Mrs. O entertained herself at the U.S. Open. There she used her "Let's Move!" slogan as cover for taxpayer reimbursement.

Saturday, the family remained in Washington and spent the day remembering the 9/11 victims by working at the DC Central Kitchen (I don't see how that relates).

Last night, the Obama's and Biden's attended "A Concert for Hope" at the Kennedy Center and reminded everyone that: "we have overcome slavery and Civil War; we've overcome bread lines and fascism, recession and riots, Communism and, yes, terrorism"

The one major question that the American public should be asking themselves is:

Why is the Democratic National Committee launching an ad campaign to pass this important economic proposal unless it is only a re-election campaign issue intended only to stimulate the President's popularity rather than truly helping put the American public back to work? Mr. O Stops in NC on Way to Three Florida DNC Fundraising Events

Departing Washington this morning, the President briefly tours the Cree, Inc's manufacturing facility in Durham North Carolina, before meeting with his Jobs and Competitiveness Council. WRAL.com reports that the Council will discuss 4 major points
  1. access to capital
  2. mentoring entrepreneurs
  3. the need for highly educated immigrants to stay in the US after we've educated them, and
  4. providing more STEM education.
Yes, while the key initiative is to help get our economy going again, we see from item 3 above the President and Council are more interested in helping immigrants obtain U.S. jobs rather than the countless number of citizens already out of work.

Politico labels today's traveling event: Obama's swing-state tour because North Carolina is both a swing state and the state where the Democratic Party's 2012 convention will be held.

After the jobs creation for immigrant functions, the President will fly off to Florida to attend three Miami fundraisers held to boost his re-election coffers.
