Drink Up before 27 rounds of Golf, but no Musica Latina concert

President Obama planned on entertaining himself, his family, and inner circle on Monday evening by hosting another White House concert: Musica Latina. However, the tragic shooting at the Naval Yard forced him to postpone this evening event. Even so, his wife Michelle carried on with her previously scheduled Musica Latina Workshop in the State Dining Room and enjoyed speaking to and mingling with the attending celebrities. Since the President's schedule ended after an 11:40 AM speech, we are sure that he socialized with the visiting stars.

Although Monday's enjoyment was cancelled, the President did satisfy his pleasures by playing 27 holes of golf on Saturday and having lunch with Vice President Biden twice.

What a happy bunch.
As spending continued, the White House weekly travel was delegated to Mrs. Obama and Mr. Biden. Last Thursday, Michelle Obama flew Air Force One to Wisconsin where she attended a"Drink Up" Festival.  And, VP Biden, took Air Force Two and flew to Iowa where he attend two campaign fundraiser events.

But, the White House is still closed to the American public.

During the past week, President Obama received 4 daily briefings, held 1 cabinet meeting, met once with his senior advisers, Secretary of Defense Hagel, and the Amir of Kuwait. He also attended a 9/11 Observance Ceremony, participated in a service project and an ambassador credentialing ceremony, met with labor leaders unhappy with Obamacare, and spoke about the economy.

Weekly Air Force One and Helicopter flying time (9 hours total):
  • VP Biden : Washington DC to Des Moines and Indianola, Iowa (round trip)  : 5 hours
  • Michelle Obama : White House to Watertown Wisconsin (round trip)  : 4 hours

Below is a summary of President Obama's official schedule during the week of Wednesday September 21 through Tuesday September 17 2013.

Obama leaves voters with a Hurricane Sandy Photo OP and message: I'll give you money but not protect you!

Responding to the Hurricane Sandy emergency, President Obama flew back to the White House and participated in phone calls with governors and meetings coordinating Federal emergency teams.

One week before the election, Obama is using this disaster as a photo opportunity to show his involvement. Unfortunately, he had no such meetings, participation, or press conferences when the 4 brave Americans were killed in Benghazi.

Prior to taking advantage of this disaster, Mr. Obama was flying across the country, giving a speech here, voting there, taping interviews, etc.  He did attend two daily briefings but that was it. Comparatively, he attended 7 campaign events, and taped 4 interviews for TV and Radio appearances.

Interestingly, the President flew to Orlando Florida on Sunday night and returned on Monday morning. But, nothing is documented as to why he was there.

Also during this time, Vice President Biden attended 5 campaign events. The First Lady, Michelle Obama, attended at least 5 campaign events. Although she wasn't listed on the White House or Political schedule, we can follow her schedule by reading her speeches posted on the White House website.

Yes, 17 fundraisers but only 2 daily briefings. (Thank god there was a hurricane!)

Note: The White House website changed their homepage and is asking visitors to "stay informed" by supplying their email address. If you press the "learn more button, you will be taken directly to the website. You can't go back to this page but can sign up for emails.

1 Daily Briefing verses 10 Campaign Events: Which is more important?

President Obama's week began with his performance in the first Presidential Debate last Wednesday. Once that was over, he performed two official Presidential duties. First, he attended a daily briefing on Friday. Second, he dedicated a new Monument to Ceasar Chavez.

The rest of the week was devoted to fundraising and campaigning. During that time, he attended 10 campaign events in states across the country: Iowa, Colorado, Ohio, and California. Mrs. Obama attended 2 campaign events and VP Biden attended only one.

One difficulty with determining this week's schedule is that the White House website schedule differs that that which is published on Politico. Thus, the summary below is a compilation from both sites.

The following is a summary of President Obama's official schedule for the week of Wednesday October 3 through Tuesday October 9, 2012.

Today, Tuesday, October 9, 2012
  • President Obama, at 12:40PM, delivers remarks at campaign event in San Francisco, CA. Then he flies to Columbus OH and attends a 2nd campaign event at Ohio State University. He will then return to DC in the evening.

Even the murder of 4 Americans cannot stop President Obama's fundraising events

Why should Americans work if the President refuses to work either?

After we published last week's post, America learned of the violence in the Middle East. Four Americans, including 1 Ambassador, was killed in Libya. The Egyptian Embassy was overrun and the American Flag torn down and burned. More violence and marches took place in the days to follow, and anti-American sentiment was expressed across North Africa, England, Australia, and more.

Yet through it all, our honorable President Obama, Vice President, and First Lady pressed ahead the Obama re-election bid by attending campaign fundraisers in Colorado, Ohio, District of Columbia, Iowa, Virginia, and New York City. Together, they attended 16 separate events. Mr. Obama led the team with 8 fundraisers, Mr. Biden with 5, and Mrs. Obama with 3.

However, because much attention was placed on the White House during this week, Mr. Obama managed to attend 3 daily briefings. Assuming each lasted approximately 30 minutes, the President dedicated 1 1/2 hours of the week to national security.  To help ignore the Mid East violence, Mr. Obama and team blamed the uprisings on the trailer of a film. Yes, the film was responsible for the death of our fellow Americans, not the failure to secure our soil in foreign lands and protect those who are representing us. Note however, the President failed to meet with any of his senior advisers this week either.

During this time, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was found to have violated the Hatch Act. Under the rules of punishment, the President must decide on her punishment. To date, President Obama has ignored his duty to uphold the law.

In addition to fundraising, President Obama hosted three groups of athletes to the White House this week. Last Friday, he welcomed the 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams, and today he's receiving the WNBA Champions, the Minnesota Lynx.

Because President Obama's schedule was completely full with campaign related events, Mr. Obama declined to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week.

However, he remains completely focused on his re-election, and is therefore appearing on the David Letterman Show this afternoon, and attending 2 gala fundraisers. Most important is that of Jay-Z and Beyonce which will be held at the 40/40 Club. Aside from the guests, a 350 bottle champagne tower will be a primary focal point. This floor to ceiling display of gold bottles will be serving the $800 per bottle bubbly. (The champagne alone will cost $280,000).

And now we know why the Obama's want us to remain in the middle class!

The following is a summary of the President's official schedule during the week of Wednesday September 12 through Tuesday September 18, 2012.

Tuesday, September 18, 2012
  • President Obama receives a daily briefing at 10:15 AM. At 1:10PM, he greets the WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx at the White House. Then, he flies to New York City where he will first sit for an interview with David Letterman. Afterward, he will attend 2 fundraisers, one with Jay-Z and Beyonce.

He attended a campaign event in Eden Park in Cincinnati, then flew to Columbus Ohio where he attended two different campaign events in Schiller Park. He also made a stop at the 28th Biennial Constitutional Convention of the Ohio AFL-CIO. When done, he flew back to Washington and was back in the White House by 8:05 PM.
  • Mr. Biden delivered remarks at a campaign event at the Port of Burlington in Burlington Iowa.

Friday, September 14, 2012
  • President Obama had an early briefing at 9:25 AM, before he welcomed the Olympic teams to the White House at 10 AM. He lunched with Joe Biden, then attended the Transfer of Remains Ceremony for the slain victims of the Benghazi Libya attack. At night, he attended a fundraiser.
  • Mrs. Obama attended a fundraiser in Washington DC.

Then, he visited the State Department.  But, he was on Air Force One at 2:20 PM and on his way to a Las Vegas NV fundraiser in the Cashman Center.  When he was finished, he flew to Aurora CO for the night.
  • VP Biden attended a campaign event at Wright State University in Dayton Ohio. He then flew back to Washington DC. That night, he and his wife hosted a reception with Jewish community leaders.

One DNC Convention and Two Hugs, How Cozy!

After sitting in on 1 obligatory daily briefing, President Obama was free to spend the week campaigning. First, however, he had to practice the acceptance speech that he would give at the Democratic National Convention.  Once that speech was given, the Obama's and Biden's took to the skies on our Air Force planes and hit the swing Sates.  Together, they left Charlotte NC and the four flew to New Hampshire. After attending a campaign event there, they boarded the plane again and flew to Iowa where they made another grand campaign appearance at the University of Iowa.

But, one day was enough. So at the end of Friday, Mr. Obama flew to Florida and spent 2 days attending 4 campaign events in that State. Nothing has been written about Michelle Obama or Jill Biden, so we can only assume that they perhaps flew back to Washington. From different sources, we know that Vice President flew to Columbus Ohio and traveled through that State and mingled with the voters.

Two of the memorial pictures of Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden campaigning over the weekend are shown at right.  From the looks of it, they are really enjoying themselves. After all, who wouldn't want to share hugs with our 2 distinguished leaders?

Obama's work week: One briefing and 2 days of campaigning! (No wonder he wants to be President again)

As August winds down and we approach the 70 day to election mark, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, has officially stopped working for the country! Yes, during the past seven days, Mr. Obama's official schedule was composed of only 1 daily briefing, and was bracketed by two days of campaign travel on Air Force One. During this period, Mr. Obama attended 6 campaign events in 4 different states.

By contrast, his wife, Michelle, attended 3 campaign events in 3 different states. Although they are not listed on the White House Schedule, the White House Speeches and Remarks page contains the text of her speeches.

And, even though everyone thinks that Joe Biden is out of the picture, the Vice President and his wife were the star speakers at 5 more campaign events.

Luckily for the Obama campaign, a hurricane is raging in the Gulf. As this storm of nature presents drama, the Obama campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki used it to divert attention from Obama's lack of work to the importance of "campagning". As she stated:

The president is also out there laying out the stakes for what is a very important election for a generation, there’s almost no group with higher stakes for what happens in November. That’s also important.” (Team Obama on campaigning during Isaac: The Republicans are doing it, too)

So now it's official, there is no higher stakes than winning reelection for the Obama for America campaign.

To heck with the country! We're bashing Romney and blaming Bush and the rest of the Republicans. These are the real contributions of the Obama Administration.

Below is a summary of President Obama's official schedule during the week Wednesday August 22 through Tuesday August 28, 2012.

Today, Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Chains, Felons, Fundraisers, and Denials

Surprise, President Obama had a press conference yesterday! Yes, after being criticized for only meeting with celebrity news outlets, Mr. Obama finally held another press conference at the White House. Unfortunately, he did not seem to be prepared, especially when he said nobody had called Mitt Romney a "felon". Either he really does not stay up with current events, or he believes the country is so ignorant that we will believe anything he says. Either way, it did not seem to go very well for for the President.

Luckily, the day ended on an up note when he and Michelle hosted a "state dinner" for 54 winners of a children's "healthy eating" campaign contest.

As for the country's work, the President received 3 daily briefings, and met with his senior advisers, Mrs. Clinton, and Mr. Geithner once during the week.

He also attended 6 fundraising events, held in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Ohio. Vice President Biden delivered remarks at 3 campaign events as well.

Obama praises Islam after Daily Briefing and attends 13 Campaign Events

President Obama received 1 daily briefing and hosted an Iftar Dinner at the White House. Those were the only 2 official functions performed by Mr. Obama last week.

The rest of the time he was working on his re-election campaign. During these past 7 days, Obama attended 13 campaign fundraising events, in Iowa, Illinois, and Colorado. Additionally, he spend 3 hours in his Chicago campaign headquarters.

During the same period, Vice President Biden attended 2 fundraisers. And, Michelle Obama is credited with 5 campaign events, and appearing on Jay Leno's Tonight Show.

Mr. Obama's message of the week for all Americans was:

"... Islam ... is part of our national story."

This was said at the 2012 Iftar Dinner, where Mr. Obama referred to a Koran  possessed by Thomas Jefferson, and suggested that Jefferson held the first Iftar dinner. However, the importance of these were much different than what the President stated. At that time in 1786, the Barbary states of North Africa were waging a war of priacy and enslavement against shipping through the Strait of Gibraltar. A million Europeans and Americans were captured and sold into slavery. Jefferson and John Adams tried to buy off the pirates. But, this failed because they learned:

"that [the right] was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise"

Responding with force, the USS Constitution captured Tunisian vessels. To avoid full war, an emissary was sent to to Washington to resolve the conflict. Thus a dinner was held for the delegation. This was the "Iftar Dinner" to which Mr. Obama referred. And, the Koran in Jefferson's possession was used as a reference to understand the nature and thinking of the North African pirates.

So yes, Islam has played a part in our early American history, but it was not through honorable circumstances as Mr. Obama would have us American citizens believe.

You can read our reference at: Obama's sanitized history for Iftar dinner
And, you may watch Obama's Iftar speech in the White House video below.

President Obama's week began with a 2 day western fundraising trip that included delivering a speech at the US Air Force Academy Commencement and 5 seperate campaign events. Upon returning to Washington, he was able to play a round of golf and attend 2 Memorial Day ceremonies.

In order to stay in touch with his administrative duties, Mr. Obama attended 2 daily briefings, met once with his Senior Advisers, Hillery Clinton, and Mr. Panetta.

Let's Move! and Get Some Ice Cream, Kids!

Realizing that "Parents and caregivers play a key role in not only making healthy choices for children and teaching children to make healthy choices for themselves", (Let's Move! Eat Healthy), Michelle Obama took the lead and treated her children to ice cream and other treats.

Lynn Sweet's article: Michelle Obama, Malia, Sasha on vacation: Visited Mount Rushmore quotes 'the Rapid City Journal: After visiting Mount Rushmore, "Then they showed a bit of a sweet tooth by stopping at the Turtle Town old-fashioned fudge and ice-cream shop in Keystone, where manager Deb Splinter served them ice cream and other treats." '

Yes, on her way to a San Francisco fundraiser, the First Lady stopped to visit Mount Rushmore before spending the night in Las Vegas. (Nice work if you can get it).

Meanwhile, her jet-lagged husband relaxed most of the week. Although he took some time to bash the Supreme Court and oil companies, he managed to hold 6 U.S. related meetings during the last week. Three were daily briefings, one with senior advisers, Mr. Panetta, and Mrs. Clinton.

Mr. Obama actually spent more time meeting with foreign dignitaries yesterday than he did performing his U.S. Presidential duties.

However, he spent all day last Friday on the campaign trail attending 4 fundraisers. The VP, Mr. Biden, beat Obama this week by attending 5 campaign events on his own. While Mrs. Obama only attended 1 campaign event, her priority was entertaining herself and attending the Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

For real USA country business, Mr. Obama attended 4 daily briefings, and met once with his senior advisors, Geithner, Panetta, and Clinton.  He also completed 2 sessions with Mr. Netanyahu.

Interestingly enough, the President attended more campaign events than attending daily briefings.

Let's pay our fair share for carrots, contraception, and campaigning

The highlight of the past two weeks is that President Obama remained in the Washington DC area. He spent much of his time working the the 2013 Budget, attacking religious freedom by trying to force Catholics to create moral sins, ignoring Syria, and degrading Republicans.  He has also refrained from speaking about Fast and Furious or why he and Holder have failed to proceed with Guantanamo trials. Nor did President Obama explain to the country why he must increase the national debt by $1.6 trillion dollars and how that jeopardizes our economic stability.

However, during these 14 days, he has only attended 3 campaign events and VP Biden attended 3 as well. The White House travel tasks were delegated to both Michelle Obama and VP Biden who were jetting across the country pretending not to be campaigning as they spoke at various affairs. 10 Campaign Fundraisers are the focus of President Obama, VP Biden, and Mrs. Obama the week after the State of the Union 2012

After the State of the Union was delivered last Tuesday, the President, Vice President, and First Lady took to the skies, blitzing the country in 3 different directions.

Mr. Obama went to the middle and western part of the country, hitting Iowa, Arizona, Colorado and Michigan.

VP Biden took the northeast, fundraising in New Hampshire, New York City. This week he relocated to the south west Texas.

Mrs. Obama covered the south and far west. First, it was off to Florida last week. This week, she's covering California, appearing on television and fundraising as well.

Buses buses everywhere in Iowa

Today, the President is beginning a three day bus tour through the Midwest to explain why that region of the country is important to the nation's economy. The president's schedule does not list any fundraisers during his bus tour, but he has never skipped the opportunity to attend one.

He begins the tour by flying on Air Force One to St. Paul, MN where he will meet his bus. With all the turmoil in the economic and political landscape, it is interesting to see so much activity focused on this all important heartland state.

Obama bus tour has campaign overtones

Obama's first stop will be in Minnesota, where he will hold town hall meeting in Cannon Falls. Afterward, he drives to Decorah Iowa and holds a second town hall meeting. Tuesday, he will attend an economic forum in Peosta Iowa. Then Wednesday, he drives off to his old home state of Illinois and holds democratic town halls in Atkinson and Alpha.
Weekly Standard: Bachmann Supporters Not Yet Sold
Michele Bachmann won the republican straw poll this weekend in Waterloo Iowa. After celebrating her win and giving her celebration speech, her bus rolled out. But, this mornings radio news reported that the Bachmann bus is turning around and headed back to Iowa today to counter any possible political attack by the president.
White House claims Obama’s bus tour is presidential, so taxpayers will fund it
Keeping the republican pressure up, the Sarah Palin bus tour also made an unannounced visit to the state of Iowa. On Saturday, she toured Eureka College in the town of Eureka, where Ronald Reagan called home.
