Seven Fundraisers in 3 cities for the Traveling Fundraiser, President Obama

The past week's accomplishments for President Obama can be summarized as attending 7 fundraisers in three West Coast cities, racking up 14 hours of Air Force One flight time, having lunch with Vice President Obama, and hosting a black-tie affair for Medal of Freedom awardees.

Besides that, Mr. Obama received 3 daily briefings, met with John Kerry, Susan Rice, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, film industry executives, delivered a few statements to justify his travel expenses, and bought lunch at a San Francisco Chinatown restaurant.

President Obama attends a DNC fundraising event in a private residence at noon. Then, he tours DreamWorks Animation at 1:50, meets with industry representatives, and delivers remarks. He then leaves Los Angeles and flies back to Washington, arriving at the White House about 9:20 PM.

President Obama left Seattle Washington at 11:50 AM and flew to San Francisco CA. There, he delivered remarks about immigration at 2:35 PM, and spent the rest of the day attending fundraisers. First was a 4:10 PM DNC event which was followed by an 5:00 PM DNC event. Mr. Obama left San Francisco and flew to Los Angeles CA, where he attended a 10:30 PM DCCC/DSCC fundraising event; and another DCCC/DSCC joint event at 11:20 PM.

President Obama left the White House at 2 PM and flew to Seattle WA. He then attended an 8:05 PM DNC event, and a 10:10 DCCC fundraising event. The President was accompanied by Valerie Jarret.

President Obama received a daily briefing at 9:45 AM. Then, at 1:45 PM, he participated in a video conference with Peace Corps Volunteers in Tanzania. He ended the day after a 2:40 PM meeting with King Mohammed VI of Morocco. He also met with John Kerry, Susan Rice, and Phil Gordon.
Michelle Obama hosted the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities (PCAH) National Arts and Humanities Youth Program.

President Obama received a daily briefing at 9:45 AM. This was followed by a 12:30 lunch with VP Biden. In the afternoon, he delivered a brief statement (1:55 PM), and another at 2 PM at a ConnectED Champions of Change event. Lastly, he held a bill signing photo op at 2:20 PM.

President Obama began the day with a 10:15 AM daily briefing. He then honored recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom at 11:05 AM. Then, he participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery at 1 PM commemorating the death of John F Kennedy. Lastly, he met with representatives from teh National Association of Insurance Commissioners. In the evening (7:10 PM), he and Michelle hosted a black-tie dinner for the Medal of Freedom awardees at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

8 Fundraisers for Obama, 2 for Biden, skiing in Aspen, and swinging with the blues

The activities of the traveling trio were rather strange last week. Vice President Biden was given the responsibility of entertaining Chinese Vice President Xi. He did this by starting the week in DC and ended it in California. In between, Biden attended two mid-west campaign events. The whereabouts of VP Xi during the campaign events were not made public, which leaves us to wonder if our U.S. Vice President was fundraising for the Chinese government as well.

To divert attention, the President very openly took to the skies on Air Force One and devoted his week to attending 8 separate campaign events. On the way back, he stopped in Everett Washington and toured a Boeing Production Facility. Do you think he was placing an order for a new Air Force One? Or perhaps arraigning to have one delivered to China?

The activities of Michelle Obama were directed at greeting guests at the White House. However, we know know that she spent the holiday weekend in Aspen Colorado skiing with the girls, and is the featured guest at a luncheon fundraiser today.

However, both Mr. and Mrs. Obama coordinated their travels in order to host a Black History Month music celebration tonight. Here is a summary of their weekly activities.

It's got to be tiring: traveling from city to city and attending multiple fundraisers in a single day. But, that is exactly what the President and Vice President have been doing these past few days.

Today, Obama leaves his generous donors in California and flies off to Denver Colorado where he's scheduled to give a Jobs speech at a local high school. He'll be in Denver for just a few hours, but it will be long enough for him to justify his hefty expense account.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden hits up wealthy donors in 3 different campaign events today. The first is at a private residence in New York City around noon. Then, he flies to Boston MA and attends two more campaign fundraising gatherings. There are no "official" Vice Presidential duties listed on his agenda, so it seems that Team Obama will be paying for this personal day off from the office (Biden campaigns in NYC and Boston).

Forget the country, it's fundraising time!

The race is off for the Obama reelection team to get as much money as it can before quarterly reporting fundraising deadline at end of September. Thus, Obama is on a 3 day money mission in Washington and California. And, helping him out, his elves, Joe Biden and Timothy Geithner have chipped in as well.

Although the economy of the country is falling apart, the President is forced to ignore his governing duties in favor or DNC obligations. But not all his time is spent with boring millionaires and billionaires, as he has found time to get in a round of golf and be entertained by extremely successful singing stars and basketball legends. Here is a summary of our leadership's the last 5 day's activities.

Monday - 3 Fundraisers

Obama in Mountain View CA townhall meeting and questions from LinkedIn users, then three separate fundraisers: private homes in San Diego and Los Angeles, and then a big a Los Angeles venue.
Geithner to Louisville KY visiting UPS high-tech plant and pitching the value fo the government.

Sunday - 4 DNC Fundraisers - 2 Washinton, 2 California

Two fundraisers in Washington. The first was near Seattle WA. Then, off to Paramount Theater in Seattle with basketball greats Lenny Wilkens and Bill Russel.
Two fundraisers, first in Woodside CA featuring blues singer Robert Cray, and the second in Atherton CA where Lady Gaga entertained Obama billionaires for $35,800 per ticket.
