The uneventful life of President Obama

After returning from Germany last Wednesday, President Obama relaxed for a few days. First, he took Thursday off, and scheduled only 3 1/2 hours of activities for Friday.  Nothing was then planned until 11 AM on Monday when he attended a few meetings. Today, he focused on lunch and speaking about Climate Change and meeting with Congressional Leadership.

All together, Mr. Obama received 3 daily briefings and met with senior advisers twice.

VP Biden's schedule was relatively inactive as well. The highlight for him was flying to Las Vegas Nevada and spending a couple of days speaking.

60 Minutes, Miami Heat, and a Speech in Las Vegas

This was another light week for President Obama. During this time, he received 3 daily briefings, ate lunch with VP Biden twice, and announced 2 personnel nominations.

For entertainment, he hosted an afternoon reception for the Miami Heat on Monday, and taped Steve Kroft "60 Minutes" joint interview with Hillary Clinton.

In addition, he is pushing two incentives: gun control and immigration. For these, he met with police chiefs and sheriffs, and is spending today flying back and forth to Las Vegas in order to give another speech. It seems quite odd that he would spend over $1 million taxpayer dollars flying to Las Vegas just to give a speech. But, no other official explanation was given for this expensive trip.

Also note that VP Biden got on the fundraising wagon again. He flew to New Orleans last Saturday to raise money for one of his fellow Democratic Senators.

Below is a summary of President Obama's weekly schedule from Wednesday January 23 to Tuesday January 29 2013.

Crowds signify Romney Victory as Obama Pleads for Revenge

President Obama ended the campaign season with a whirlwind blitz of campaign appearances. He visited Wisconsin, Florida, Nevada, Colorado, Ohio, Virginia, New Hampshire, and Iowa. In all, he alone attended 16 campaign events.

In the same week Michelle Obama spoke at 6 events, traveling to Florida, Virginia, and Ohio. Vice President Biden chipped in as well by attending 5 events as well.

Obama Campaign Event Crowd
In all, the trio chalked up 27 documented campaign events which spanned 5 days.

The President also found time to receive 1 daily briefing, tour the ravaged New Jersey coast, and speak at FEMA Headquarters.

Now that today's voting will determine who the next president will be, we expect Mr. Obama to relax, entertain, travel, vacation, and celebrate.

Regardless if he wins re-election or not, we do not anticipate President Obama working for the country. If he wins, he will just party! If he loses, he will entertain and enjoy the last two months of his presidency. Either way, he will ignore his official duty to lead the country.

So, will Obama win? We predict he will Lose Big Time!

Our reasoning is based on the turnout at his recent campaign events. Mr. Obama tried to lure crowds to his campaign events by entertaining them with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews and Stevie Wonder. However, compared to the large number of people who attended Romney and Ryan campaign speeches, Obama's turnout was much smaller.

This signals a problem for Mr. Obama because "he should be the star", not a backup performer.  If he had the respect of the nation, our citizens would flock to see him speak regardless of their political affiliation. However, even his base of support failed to go out of their way to see "Our President Speak".

Romney Campaign Crowd
Whereas, Mitt Romney drew 30,000 people in Pennsylvania hoping to get a glimpse of a man who can fix our economy, restore respect for America, and is willing work with both Democratic and Republican Congressmen and Senators.

For this reason, we predict a Romney Victory in today's election!

The following is a summary of President Obama's official schedule during the week of Wednesday October 31 through Tuesday November 6, 2012.

Today, Election Day, Tuesday, November 6, 2012
  • President Obama will spend the day in Chicago waiting for the election results. He will pass the time playing basketball and will sit for more than a dozen radio and television interviews. Obama leaves voters with a Hurricane Sandy Photo OP and message: I'll give you money but not protect you!

Responding to the Hurricane Sandy emergency, President Obama flew back to the White House and participated in phone calls with governors and meetings coordinating Federal emergency teams.

One week before the election, Obama is using this disaster as a photo opportunity to show his involvement. Unfortunately, he had no such meetings, participation, or press conferences when the 4 brave Americans were killed in Benghazi.

Prior to taking advantage of this disaster, Mr. Obama was flying across the country, giving a speech here, voting there, taping interviews, etc.  He did attend two daily briefings but that was it. Comparatively, he attended 7 campaign events, and taped 4 interviews for TV and Radio appearances.

Interestingly, the President flew to Orlando Florida on Sunday night and returned on Monday morning. But, nothing is documented as to why he was there.

Also during this time, Vice President Biden attended 5 campaign events. The First Lady, Michelle Obama, attended at least 5 campaign events. Although she wasn't listed on the White House or Political schedule, we can follow her schedule by reading her speeches posted on the White House website.

Yes, 17 fundraisers but only 2 daily briefings. (Thank god there was a hurricane!)

Horses, Bayonets, and Debates define Obama's Image

Charging at his debating opponent at a full gallop, President Obama thrust his bayonet into Romney's military remarks. At first, it appeared his presidential foe was critically injured, but as the dust from the horse's hoofs faded away, the mighty Romney arose unscathed.

While Mr. Obama's biting "horse and bayonet" remarks flooded the internet, many a soldier were quick to point out that the bayonet is standard issue for the fighting infantry soldier today. Although the comment sounded so great, it illustrated the President's lack of knowledge of a soldiers arms. Had our Commander in Chief spent more time with our brave fighting military soldiers, he would not have been so quick to say the the bayonet is a thing of the past.

In fact, a mounted bayonet is an integral part of a fallen warriors Battle Cross memorial. The inverted rifle with the bayonet attached "signals a time of prayer, a break in the action to pay tribute to our friend".

During this past week, President Obama dedicated his time to fundraising, campaigning, and preparing for the last of 3 debates. Only once did he receive a presidential briefing. Other than that, he performed no leadership function.

Together with his wife Michelle, and Vice President Biden, the trio attended 24 campaign events. Mr. Obama attended 7, Mr. Biden 9, and Mrs. Obama 8. They worked the battleground states of Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Nevada, New York and Colorado. Obama's work week: One briefing and 2 days of campaigning! (No wonder he wants to be President again)

As August winds down and we approach the 70 day to election mark, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, has officially stopped working for the country! Yes, during the past seven days, Mr. Obama's official schedule was composed of only 1 daily briefing, and was bracketed by two days of campaign travel on Air Force One. During this period, Mr. Obama attended 6 campaign events in 4 different states.

By contrast, his wife, Michelle, attended 3 campaign events in 3 different states. Although they are not listed on the White House Schedule, the White House Speeches and Remarks page contains the text of her speeches.

And, even though everyone thinks that Joe Biden is out of the picture, the Vice President and his wife were the star speakers at 5 more campaign events.

Luckily for the Obama campaign, a hurricane is raging in the Gulf. As this storm of nature presents drama, the Obama campaign spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki used it to divert attention from Obama's lack of work to the importance of "campagning". As she stated:

The president is also out there laying out the stakes for what is a very important election for a generation, there’s almost no group with higher stakes for what happens in November. That’s also important.” (Team Obama on campaigning during Isaac: The Republicans are doing it, too)

So now it's official, there is no higher stakes than winning reelection for the Obama for America campaign.

To heck with the country! We're bashing Romney and blaming Bush and the rest of the Republicans. These are the real contributions of the Obama Administration.

Below is a summary of President Obama's official schedule during the week Wednesday August 22 through Tuesday August 28, 2012.

Today, Tuesday, August 28, 2012

(Note, this is part of a 2 day tour where he will speak at colleges in Iowa, Colorado, and Virginia).

During the remaining 6 days, he attended 13 more fundraisers in the states of Florida, Nevada, California, and Oregon. Because of the tragic shooting in Colorado, the President found the opportunity to have the taxpayers pay for his West Coast swing by stopping in Colorado and meeting with families of the shooting victims.

Covering the other parts of the country, his wife Michelle campaigned in Pennsylvania, Alabama, and Ohio. Additionally, Mr. Biden worked a union crowd in Ohio.

All together, this trio attended a total of 18 campaign events in the week.

Let's Move! and Get Some Ice Cream, Kids!

Realizing that "Parents and caregivers play a key role in not only making healthy choices for children and teaching children to make healthy choices for themselves", (Let's Move! Eat Healthy), Michelle Obama took the lead and treated her children to ice cream and other treats.

Lynn Sweet's article: Michelle Obama, Malia, Sasha on vacation: Visited Mount Rushmore quotes 'the Rapid City Journal: After visiting Mount Rushmore, "Then they showed a bit of a sweet tooth by stopping at the Turtle Town old-fashioned fudge and ice-cream shop in Keystone, where manager Deb Splinter served them ice cream and other treats." '

Yes, on her way to a San Francisco fundraiser, the First Lady stopped to visit Mount Rushmore before spending the night in Las Vegas. (Nice work if you can get it).

Meanwhile, her jet-lagged husband relaxed most of the week. Although he took some time to bash the Supreme Court and oil companies, he managed to hold 6 U.S. related meetings during the last week. Three were daily briefings, one with senior advisers, Mr. Panetta, and Mrs. Clinton.

Mr. Obama actually spent more time meeting with foreign dignitaries yesterday than he did performing his U.S. Presidential duties.

However, he spent all day last Friday on the campaign trail attending 4 fundraisers. The VP, Mr. Biden, beat Obama this week by attending 5 campaign events on his own. While Mrs. Obama only attended 1 campaign event, her priority was entertaining herself and attending the Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

The Presidential duties of the past two weeks have been primarily focused on meeting with leaders of other countries and fundraising.  Very little time has been dedicated to the American public, leading the country, or working with any members of the Congress or Senate.

Having read the public schedule of the President over the past few months and summarizing it on this blog, we finally realized how little time Mr. Obama spends on U.S. domestic affairs versus meeting with and entertaining foreign leaders and diplomats. For example, whenever the President is abroad, his daily schedule appears to be filled with meetings and attending events.

However, when he is here in this country, his schedule typically accounts for only 2 to 3 hours of his time, unless he is on the campaign trail. In those cases, he will board Air Force One early in the morning and travel to various cities in order to attend campaign events.

For example, during the past few days that Obama has been in Seoul Korea, he has met with at least 6 world leaders and attended various work and ceremonial sessions. Before his trip, he spent 2 days with PM Cameron of the UK and met twice with PM Kenny of Ireland.

But by comparison, during the days he was in the White House, he only met with his senior advisers twice, had two Daily Briefings, and met once with Panetta, Clinton, and Geithner. At no time did he meet members of the Senate or Congress.

However, 12 campaign events were attended. Mr. Obama led the field with 6, VP Biden had 4, and Michelle Obama is credited with two.

Below is a summary of the travel events of President Obama, his wife Michelle, and Mr. and Mrs. Biden during the period of Wednesday March 14 through Tuesday March 27 2012.

10 Campaign Fundraisers are the focus of President Obama, VP Biden, and Mrs. Obama the week after the State of the Union 2012

After the State of the Union was delivered last Tuesday, the President, Vice President, and First Lady took to the skies, blitzing the country in 3 different directions.

Mr. Obama went to the middle and western part of the country, hitting Iowa, Arizona, Colorado and Michigan.

VP Biden took the northeast, fundraising in New Hampshire, New York City. This week he relocated to the south west Texas.

Mrs. Obama covered the south and far west. First, it was off to Florida last week. This week, she's covering California, appearing on television and fundraising as well.

Here is a brief summary of their campaign fundraising journeys.

Today, Tuesday - January 31, 2012

Obama - Craps in Vegas and Toasts with Zorro

Today, Monday Oct 24th, President Obama flies to Las Vegas Nevada. On the way, he will be meeting whth Bill Gates, to most likely figure out how he can use Twitter & other social media to mobilize the radicals to join Occupy Wall Street and overflow the voting booths next year. Seriously, however, he will probably be boasting about how he retained Broderick Johnson to be a campaign adviser. Johnson is a registered lobbyist for Microsoft and his wife works for NPR - so Obama has the media blocked.

When he lands in Vegas, he will attend 3 different campaign events, two of which will be at private residences. Then, back on the plane and off to Los Angeles to attend fundraisers hosted by Spaniard Antonia Banderas. I guess accepting fundraising isn't limited to that of American donors only. Perhaps Banderas will try to convince Obama to run for President of Spain next!

My, with all this flying around in the sky, we can understand why Obama is against corporate jets: They just fill up the air space!

The President has a packed agenda in California, which will has nothing to do with managing the country, but rather fundraising. Oh yes, the American public is paying for this entertaining trip!

Jet pollution clouds Biden's Clean Energy Summit

The Air Force One and Two jets are in the air today, crisscrossing the country to: carry the President to Minnesota; and transport the Vice President to Las Vegas and Tulsa.

Obama is making a quick dash to Minneapolis-St. Paul to deliver remarks to veterans at an American Legion conference. He lands at 11:25AM, speaks at 11:55AM, and is back on the plane at 1:15PM. This means he will be flying approximately 4 hours in order to give a 1 hour speech.

Vice President Biden is campaigning at the National Clean Energy Summit 4.0 held in Las Vegas today. This summit is hosted by the Center for American Progress which is a liberal think tank partially funded by George Soros.

On his way back to DC, Biden will land in Tulsa Oklahoma and attend a DNC fundraising event tonight.

Hopefully, Biden will discuss the effects of jet fuel pollution on the climate and how both he and the President have contributed to its growth.

Flying for Dollars & No Time for the Budget

I just realized, there's only a one letter difference between:

Flying and Lying

While the President flew off to Philadelphia to attend two fundraisers yesterday, the First Lady boarded the second plane and campaigned in Boston, attending a private fundraising luncheon for the Democratic National Committee. After, she flew to Vermont to attend two more fundraisers. Needing an official excuse to write off the DNC and reelection campaign appearances, she stopped at a National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility in Burlington to give a speech. It's interesting to read her remarks at two of the stops, because both of them are nearly identical in the beginning. Sure, the names had to be changed, and the stories modified to relate to the audience, but these should have been easy for her speech writers to construct.

At the DNC, she begins:

MRS. OBAMA: Thank you. (Applause.) Oh, my goodness. (Applause.) Good job. Thank you so much. (Applause.) Oh, my goodness! (Applause.) Got to come to Vermont more often! (Applause.) Yes! (Applause.) Oh, my goodness, thank you so much. (Applause.) ....

I want to start by thanking Marcelle for that very kind introduction and for all her hard work on behalf of our Guard and Reserve families. But I also want to personally thank her for being my big sister in the U.S. Senate. She told you that we met then, but the truth is, is that she’s my big sister. She was assigned to me to look after me as a new spouse, and she did that well then and she continues to do that. She is a truly wonderful woman who I consider a dear friend, and she has always had my back. So we have to give Marcelle Leahy a big round of applause. (Applause.)

And I also want to acknowledge someone who couldn’t be here today but who would have been here today. She’s been a phenomenal partner to me every day on this issue. She’s a military mom herself, a tireless champion for military families, and also my friend, Dr. Jill Biden. (Applause.) ...

At the Armory, she begins:

MRS. OBAMA: I won’t be using the box. (Laughter.) Oh, my goodness, thank you so much. Oh, okay, let’s just go home now. (Laughter.)

I can’t tell you what a pleasure it is to be here with all of you today. And I want to thank Elaine for that very kind introduction, and to Elaine and Jerry and their entire family for hosting this event here in their beautiful home. I can’t tell you how much this means to us to have your support. You are true public servants, as well. You live it out every day. You live it out throughout the generations. And it is that foundation that allows Barack and I to do the work that we do. So we are so truly, truly grateful to you for your work and your dedication, your support. So thank you again. (Applause.)

I also want to thank your fabulous governor, who is one of my favorite people in the whole wide world. Yeah, yeah, he is. (Applause.) Governor Patrick. And the only other person I like more than you is Diane. (Laughter.) It’s okay. I know how that goes. (Laughter and applause.)  ...

Now that the Air Force One and Two planes are back in Washington, Vice President O'Biden will be using one of them to fly out to Las Vegas and deliver remarks at a Teamster Convention this afternoon.

Since the weather should be good this weekend, the First Family will be entertaining at Camp David. It is a long weekend, so we expect the President to get in 3 rounds of golf in between planning next weeks campaign fundraising trips and the associated official excuses for we tax-payers of these flying trips.
