So, not wanting to be a dull boy, President Obama spent very little time working this past week. During this time, he received daily briefings each weekday. He also met with: his senior advisers once; Senators McCain and Schumer; two Chinese dignitaries; and Secretary of State Kerry.
He also entertained former President George H. W. Bush, and members of the 1963 Loyola University of Chicago Ramblers championship basketball team.
Last Friday, his day was done after the morning daily briefing, and today he spent interviewing with Spanish news anchors.
However, Mr. Obama did find time to attend a DNC event at the Jefferson Hotel last Thursday evening. Tickets for those attending cost $32,400 each.

Next, the President met with the 1963 Loyola University of Chicago Ramblers championship basketball team (12:10 PM). This was followed by a 3:45 PM meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang and State Councilor Yang Jiechi. Lastly, he attended a DNC event at 5:30 PM.

In the afternoon, he awarded the 2012 National Medal of Arts and National Humanities Medal (2:00 PM). Finally, he ended the day after meeting with Secretary of State Kerry at 4:00 PM.
