One DNC Convention and Two Hugs, How Cozy!

After sitting in on 1 obligatory daily briefing, President Obama was free to spend the week campaigning. First, however, he had to practice the acceptance speech that he would give at the Democratic National Convention.  Once that speech was given, the Obama's and Biden's took to the skies on our Air Force planes and hit the swing Sates.  Together, they left Charlotte NC and the four flew to New Hampshire. After attending a campaign event there, they boarded the plane again and flew to Iowa where they made another grand campaign appearance at the University of Iowa. 

But, one day was enough. So at the end of Friday, Mr. Obama flew to Florida and spent 2 days attending 4 campaign events in that State. Nothing has been written about Michelle Obama or Jill Biden, so we can only assume that they perhaps flew back to Washington. From different sources, we know that Vice President flew to Columbus Ohio and traveled through that State and mingled with the voters.

Two of the memorial pictures of Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden campaigning over the weekend are shown at right.  From the looks of it, they are really enjoying themselves. After all, who wouldn't want to share hugs with our 2 distinguished leaders?

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

• President Obama and wife Michelle are spending the day marking the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. They started the day at 8:45 AM by observing a moment of silence. Then, they went to an Observance Ceremony ath the Pentagon. On the way back to the White House, they stopped at Arlington Cemetery. After lunch, only the President travels to visit Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. After, he will return to the WH and meet with Mr. Panetta at 5PM.  
• Vice President Biden travels to Somerset County PA and will deliver remwarks at the Flight 93 National Memorial Commemorative Service.

Monday, September 10, 2012

• There were no public events or duties scheduled for President Obama.
• Vice President filled in the calendar by sitting in for Mr. Obama and meeting with Senior Advisers.

Sunday, September 9, 2012

• Mr. Obama first delivered remarks at a campaign event in Melborne Fl at 11:10 AM.  Then he traveled to West Palm Beach and attended a second campaign event. He returned back in DC at 8:15 PM.

Saturday, September 8, 2012

• Mr. Obama delivered remarks at a campaign event at 11:10 AM in Seminole FL. He then went to Kissimmee FL and delivered remarks at another campaign fundraising event.
• Mr. Biden traveled through Ohio

Friday, September 7, 2012

• Mr. Obama, Michelle, and the Bidens departed Charlotte NC and flew to Portsmouth NH where they attended a campaign event. They then flew to Cedar Rapids IA and delivered remarks at a 2nd campaign event held at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Mr. Obama left the group and flew to St. Petersburg FL where he spent the evening.

• Mr. Obama received a daily briefing at 9:30 AM. At 2:45 PM, he flew to Charlotte NC to attend the Democratic National Convention.
